Mr. Chandan Thapa, Founder and Director of Rising Adventure Pvt. Ltd., is originally from the scenic Gorkha district of Nepal, home to the famous Manaslu Trekking Trail.
Mr. Thapa currently serves as the Secretary of the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) for the 2025-2028 term, where he continues to support and promote Nepal’s mountaineering and adventure tourism on both national and international platforms. NMA is the only authorized national alpine association in Nepal to issue climbing permits for 27 designated peaks in Nepal, which reflects the strong professional credibility behind Rising Adventure.
At the beginning of his career as a porter, his dedication and passion for the Himalayas led him to become a Senior Trekking Guide and later a Manager at the same leading trekking company, where he organized treks and tours across Nepal, Bhutan, and Tibet.
Aiming to contribute more to the tourism sector of Nepal, he founded Rising Adventure Pvt. Ltd., a reputable and growing travel and trekking company based in Kathmandu. The company specializes in trekking, peak climbing, and cultural tours in Nepal, as well as exclusive tour packages to Bhutan and Tibet.
In 2024, he expanded into the hospitality sector by establishing Hotel Vistara, a three-star hotel in Kathmandu committed to providing exceptional comfort and authentic Nepali hospitality.
