Bhutan, commonly referred to as the Land of the Thunder Dragon, boasts of natural beauty, strong Buddhist culture and cultural identity. It lies between the giant countries of India and China and is considered one of the most distinctive travelling destinations globally. Bhutan has a diversified geography of subtropical forests and high mountains of the Himalayas, which offer some of the most beautiful scenery of the valleys, monasteries and trekking trails of Asia

Bhutan’s great cities, such as Thimphu and Paro, showcase the combination of ancient culture with modern comfort. Tourists love Bhutan for its rich festivals, spirituality, hospitality, and clean nature. It is a highly exclusive and gratifying tourist destination, as the nation has very strict policies on tourism and is highly concerned with sustainability. It is the ideal place to visit when one wants to experience nature, culture, and tranquility.

Our 4N, 5D Bhutan tour starts perfectly with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Paro. This flight will give awe-inspiring views of the Himalayan vistas, such as the mighty Mount Everest and Mount Jichu Drake. You will be welcomed by our representative at the Paro International Airport before driving to Thimpu, the capital city of Bhutan. The drive presents you with a view of peaceful countryside, terraced farmlands, traditional farmhouses, and lush green forests.

At Thimpu, we will be sightseeing at some of the stunning and culturally significant landmarks Bhutan has to offer, notably Buddha Dordenma and Memorial Chorten. We will also explore the nearby markets and local shops decorated with handmade arts and crafts representing the tradition and culture of Bhutan.

Next, we will head to another scenic trip, finishing at Punakha. We will be stopping at the Dochu La Pass on our way, where we will make a visit to the 108 memorial stupas known as Druk Wangyal Chortens. From there we will descend along the forests full of rhododendrons, fir, and hemlock. Further passing along the riverbanks, we will arrive at Punakha.

During our stay at Punakha, we will visit the Punakha Dzong, famously known as the Palace of Great Happiness. We will also go to other major attractions such as Chimi Lhakhang. We might also check out the local markets of Punakha if we have time left on our hands.

From Punakha we will make our way back to Paro, where we will be going on a journey to the Paro Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest Monastery). Later, we will explore the town and other notable attractions. Finally, we will depart from Paro with heavy hearts, taking lifelong memories with us.

This 4-night, 5-day Bhutan trip is suitable for those adventurers who are short on time and want to have a quick and affordable yet memorable and meaningful visit to Bhutan.
