Meeting with Rising Adventure for the Nepal Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour
Your first meeting with the Rising Adventure team will be at the Tribhuvan International Airport, where one of our representatives will welcome you in a traditional Nepali fashion with Khada. You will have a meeting at the Rising Adventure’s office with Mr. Chandan Thapa, who will give a quick briefing of the trip. You can ask any queries about the trip or ask for any add-ons for the trek during this meeting. You will also be meeting your tour guide in this same meeting.
Mr. Chandan Thapa will stay in touch with you or your tour guide on a regular basis throughout the journey. Finally, there will be a farewell dinner in the evening on the day before your departure. During this time, you can also share about your experiences and offer feedback on the tour.
Meals during the Buddhist religious tour in Nepal
During the tour of the Buddhist pilgrimage in Nepal, you can expect a variety of food choices. Daal Bhaat Tarkari is the most popular and the must-try dish in Nepal, which consists of rice, lentils, and some veggies. Other popular cuisines in Nepal are momo (dumplings), thukpa (noodles in soup), sel roti, dhindo, and chapati (Tibetan bread).
In major cities such as Kathmandu, you can find numerous restaurants and pubs offering Indian, Chinese, and continental cuisine. Food options do get limited as you travel to village areas during the tour. There are plenty of options of food places and restaurants for vegetarians/vegans as well.

We are always ready to customize your journey according to your travel needs and preferences.
Best time for the Buddhist religious tour
The Buddhist religious tour in Nepal can be done throughout the year. However, due to favorable and pleasant weather conditions, the autumn and spring seasons can be considered the best time to travel in Nepal for the religious tour. If you are traveling in the spring season, you get the opportunity to experience Buddhist festivals such as Buddha Jayanti (celebration of the birth of Gautam Buddha) and Lhosar (Tibetan New Year). On a clear day, you can get breathtaking views of towering giants like Mount Annapurna and Mt. Manaslu around this time during your flight from Kathmandu to Bhairahawa and vice versa.
Similarly, winter season is also very ideal for this tour. As most of our travel will be at lower-altitude areas in Kathmandu and Lumbini as compared to popular trekking destinations in Nepal, such as Everest Base Camp, there will be no snowfall around the winter season. That being said, the temperature can get low in the morning, so make sure to pack warm clothes with you for the tour.
It is possible to do this trip during summer/monsoon season, but there might be flight delays and plan interruptions in the scheduled itinerary due to frequent rainfall around this time of the year.
