Each and every adventure lover wants to reach the top of Mount. Everest, with an elevation of 8848.86 meters, is the highest point in the Universe. And realistically, only a countable climber can achieve success. But if you are well both physically and mentally, and have strong determination, you and me can make it to the summit of Everest.

Trip Facts

In addition, the proper plan, logistical support, medical staff, understanding of the altitude environment, weather forecast, physical condition, supportive climbing crew, Sherpas, and technical skills are significantly required for the Everest Climbing. Being patient is the key gear to get the success because you need to spend your life more than one month in the Himalayas of Nepal.

Life at the Everest Base Camp (EBC)

Life at the EBC is challenging as well as fascinating. As you are going to spend your days exploring and learning climbing skills. And you will spend the nights in a tent. This activity helps to acclimatize your body properly.

The basic facilities we provide in the Everest Base Camp are;

  • Double-walled Sleeping Tents featuring wood flooring, 4-post beds, and personal humidifiers.
  • Large heated Geodome Dining and Lounge Domes with chairs, tables, and a solar power station for charging.
  • Catering Services with professional cooks and chefs
  • Three times meals with a special diet to fuel the climbers’ stamina
  • Portable toilets are managed in the separate sanitation tents
  • The Propane heater bag is available for showering
  • Biodegradable blue-colored trash bags for collecting the waste.
  • Medical tent equipped with medical kits, emergency oxygen cylinders, and a portable hyperbaric bag.
  • Separate Communication Tents with satellite phone support and a reliable internet connection for getting in touch for the weather updates and connectivity.
  • Separate tents are used for the climbing crews and for storing the gear and ropes.

Everest Expedition Detailed Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu (1300 m). Overnight in Kathmandu

After your arrival in Kathmandu, our representative will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel.

Day 2

Collecting the official documents for the expedition

On this day, we will collect all the mandatory official documents for the expedition, including the trekking and climbing permits. And if time allows, you may engage in the city tour. We will help you to organize the trip.

Day 3

Checking Gear, introducing the climbing crew, and packing the bags

Today, we will be introducing our trekking and climbing crews. So, you can communicate to each other and also check the gear. If anything is needed, we will help you in finding a good shop to hire or buy the equipment. Then we will repack them in an organized way.

There will be a briefing at every step of the expedition regarding the gear, accommodation, food, duration, facilities, and other related things about the expedition.

Day 4

Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding. Overnight in Phakding

In the morning, we will have a short flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. We will reach there by almost 30 minutes. It is a scenic flight that offers the mountain views of the Everest region.

After reaching Lukla, we will meet our other trekking crews who will carry our backpacks. Then, the actual trekking begins. We will trek for almost three hours and reach a small Sherpa village, called Phakding.

Day 5

Trek to Namche. Overnight in Namche

In the morning, after breakfast, we will start our trek again. Our destination is Namche Bazaar, today. So, we will trek through the Sagarmatha National Park by exploring the alpine forest and mountain fauna. We will cross a suspension bridge as well. Finally, we reach Namche Bazaar, a major Sherpa highland of the Everest region with full of facilities like those in the city area.

Day 6

Rest Day

This is an acclimatization day. So, you will have a short hike to the Everest View Hotel and explore the majestic views of the Mount Everest range. And the remaining days will be spent by walking here and there around the Namche Bazaar.

Day 7

Trek to Tenga. Overnight in Tenga

The trek continues again. We will walk on the ascending trail in the beginning. Then the easy trail begins till Mung Dada. We will trek through the pine forest and reach the Tenga village by passing the Phortse village.

Before reaching Tenga, we can see the views of Thamserku, Kangteka, Ama Dablam, and Tabuche.

Day 8

Trek to Machchhermo. Overnight in Machchhermo

The trek continues on the full ascending and descending trail. We will have lunch at Luza. As we walk, the forest becomes thinner and ends. At the end, we reach Machchhermo.

While walking, we will explore the views of cholatse, machhermo peak, tabuche peak, and kajuri on the left side and the Machchhermo, cholatse and tabuche peak in the front line of the right side of us.

Day 9

Trek to Gokyo. Overnight Gokyo

Today, we will walk totally on the grassy and moraine trail. There is no tree line. This route offers the beautiful views of cholatse, tabuche peak, cho-oyu, and cholo Himal. Afterwards, our walk takes us to the pristine valley, Gokyo.

Day 10

Gokyo ri hike (3 hours) and trek to Thaknak (4700 m/6-7 hours). Overnight in Thaknak

In the early morning, we will have an upward trail hike to the popular Gokyo Ri. It offers the mesmerizing views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, ama dablam, kangtega, cho-oyu, cholatse, tabuche, gokyo valley, and the 1-5 lakes of Gokyo. After getting down to Gokyo, we will enjoy our lunch.

Then, the trek continues again on the descending trail at the beginning while going toward Thaknak. It is completely a moraine and the glacier trail. After ascending, we will reach Thaknak.

Day 11

Trek to Zongla via Cho La Pass (5420 m). Overnight in Zongla

The trek begins early in the morning with a packed breakfast because we are going to cross the renowned Cho La Pass. Due to the wind, we need to walk early.

The trail is full of ascending to the upward near Cho La Pass. We will walk almost 630 meters from Thaknak on the less grassy and full of moraine pathways. From the top of Cho La Pass, we can explore the majestic views of Lobuche East, Lobuche West, Khanjung, Nuirekha, and Lobuche.

Then we will descend to Zongla by enjoying the more outstanding views of Cholatse on the right-hand side and the Amadablam and Tabuche on the other hand side.

Day 12

Trek to the Everest expedition base camp. Overnight in the EBC

It is a grassy trail. We will walk down to the Lobuche Village at first and ascend to the Gorakshep village, the last settlement below the EBC. We will have lunch there and continue the trek for almost 2 hours to the Everest Expedition base camp.

The Pumori and Nuptse are en route views.

From today, we will have a full rest.

Day 14

Rest and training (1-2 hours)

Today, we will engage in the training for about 2 hours. Our senior Sherpa guide will teach us about ice climbing, ladder crossing, jumaring, safety precautions, ascending and descending techniques, and other activities.

Rest Day

Day 16

Trek to Lobuche high camp. Overnight in the Lobuche High Camp

Today, we are going to retrace the previous trail to Lobuche. Then we will turn right and trek towards High Camp. It is an easy plain trail in the beginning, and the trail goes upward till the Lobuche High Camp. Finally, we reach there, which offers the closest scenery of Ama Dablam, and other views like kangteka, pumori, lobuche, nuptse, and lola.

Day 17

Lobuche east summit (61119 m) and back to Lobuche village

Today, we are going to summit Lobuche as an acclimatization for the Everest Expedition. So, we need to use the climbing gear to accomplish the summit. Our senior Sherpa guide will tell us about the necessary gear, and the trail begins. The climbing commences very early in the morning. The trail is upward moraine and rocky first, and the icy trail later. We mostly do jumaring, ascending, and descending activities.

The Lobuche summit offers the extraordinary views of Mount Everest, Lola, Pumori, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and other unnamed peaks.

After summiting Lobuche, we will descend to Lobuche Village by following the previous route.

Day 18

Trek back to the Everest expedition base camp (5364 m). Overnight in the Everest Expedition Base Camp

We will reach the Everest Expedition Base Camp by retracing the previous ways.

Rest Day. Overnight in the Everest Expedition Base Camp

Day 21

Camp I climb. Overnight in Camp I

Today, we are going to Camp I. So, we need a set of full climbing gear. We will climb on the icy trail and cross the crevasses too. There is a little bit of a moraine trail as well, just before Camp I.

En route views are Pumori, ama dablam, Thamserku, Kangteka, and so on.

Day 22

Climb to camp II. Overnight in Camp II

We will walk on the plain way at first, and then the ascending and descending routes begin. It is completely icy and the snowy trail. So, we will climb on with full of safety. We will traverse through the glacier and jumaring too.

On the way, we will witness the Everest, Lhotse, and Lolo only in front of us.

Day 23

Climb to camp III touch and back to Camp II. Overnight in Camp II

Today also, we continue our climbing activities. The trail is easy in the beginning, and it is steeply upward till Camp III. After reaching there, we will descend to Camp II. For this climbing, we need to use full climbing gear.

The Camp III offers the long Lhotse, Nuptse, and Lo La views. While ascending steeply, we can witness the face of Lhotse.

Day 24

Descend back to the Everest Expedition Base Camp (5-6 hours). Overnight in EBC

Come back to the Everest Expedition Base Camp. Overnight in EBC

After rest, climbers will come back to EBC and plan for summit after favorable weather condition.

Climb to Camp II. Overnight in Camp II

We will have a climb to Camp II through the previous ways.

Rest Day

This is a full rest day to acclimatize our bodies. We will be spending our days by exploring.

Climb to Camp III. Overnight in Camp III

We will reach Camp III by following the previous way.

Day 35

Climb to Camp IV (8 hours) and start the climbing to the summit. Overnight in Camp IV

Today, we will start our climb to Camp IV in the early morning. It would be around 2 am. It is totally an upward trail. However, we will meet a bit of a plain trail after Lhotse Camp IV. Then the strenuous trail begins as we need to cross an alovand and the juniper danda. During walking, we can explore the South Col Valley between Mt. Everest and Mt. Lhotse.

After reaching Camp IV, we will rest for some hours and begin our journey to the summit of Mount Everest in the evening. It is almost 7 pm. It is a complete night walk because it requires reaching the summit by 11 am due to the wind. However, the climbers reach the summit from 4 am to 11 am on the basis of their climbing pace.

Day 36

Summit and back to camp ¾. Overnight in Camp IV or III

Finally, we will reach the top of the world’s highest point, Mount Everest, successfully. Then, we will go down either to Camp IV or III as per our walking pace by retracing the previous way.

Rest

Today, we will be engaging in showering and other neat and clean activities. We will also make ready our backpack.

Day 40

Come down to Pheriche or fly back to Kathmandu by Helicopter. Overnight in Pheriche

Today, we are going down to Pheriche or flying back to Kathmandu by Helicopter after celebrating our success with our expedition crews.

To go to Pheriche, we will retrace the previous way to Gorakshep at first and descend to Pheriche through the forest of juniper. We can see the mountain views while going down.

Day 41

Descend to Namche Bazaar. Overnight in Namche Bazaar

We will be walking on both ascending and descending trails for going to the Namche Bazaar. We will walk via the juniper forest and pass Samdrung and Warsha. Both are the isolated villages.

At last, we will reach Namche via the forest and by crossing the suspension bridge of the Imja River.

Descend to Lukla. Overnight in Lukla
