Island Peak Expedition requires an excessive level of fitness both physically and mentally. So, you need to join the regular exercise activity to enhance your cardiovascular fitness and other physical fitness. Hiking, running, and morning walking are some activities that help you in preparing.

During your expedition with us to Island Peak from Chhukung includes 3 times meals per day including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. But, remember that there will be limited lists of food menus due to the remoteness of the area. But trust us, we will try our best to provide a quality nutritious meal for energizing your body to climb Island Peak.
If you require any special food, means if you are vegetarian, vegan, or want gluten-free meals or any others, you must inform us before joining the trip. Then we will make the arrangements as per your preference. Besides, you need to have some strong energy bars like chocolate and other supplement. It helps you to keep your body hydrated and nourished.
Island Peak Climbing from Chhukung Accommodation
While in Chhukung, you will spend a night at Tea House. But in the Base Camp of Island Peak, you will be provided a tent, dining, sleeping, and toilet. A warm sleeping bag with a mat will also be provided.

Remedies for altitude sickness during the Island Peak Expedition from Chhukung
Island Peak is located in a high-altitude place in the Khumbu region of Nepal. So, there is the possibility of altitude-sickness occurrence like headache, nausea, or other serious issues.
Here are some remedies to treat in the condition of acute mountain sickness (AMS);
- Walk slowly
- Drink plenty of water
- Do not drink the alcoholic thing
- Consume lots of food
- Take medication under guidance if altitude sickness happens
- If it is a severe condition, take oxygen therapy and Helicopter rescue
- If medicine does not work, it is suggested to get down to the lower elevation area as fast as you can
